I am a Ph.D. student at UC-Santa Cruz in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and am working with Paul Koch, Nate Dominy, and Jim Estes. Currently, I'm using stable isotopes to quantify aspects of food-webs characterized by complex carnivore communities in sub-Saharan Africa. My main interests include comparing modern and past (both paleo and historical) communities, the role of individual dietary specialization within populations of animals (particularly cooperative carnivores), food-web dynamics, network theory, complex systems, and Bayesian statistics.
